That is a positive and good profession to go into and helping others less fortunate than him.
Yes, I saw this on his instagram n it’s been making the rounds on the internet. Good thing he is doing but sad he has to. Blew his fortune it seems as a recent article from August had him going to jail over $120,000 back child support. Judge offered to let him just pay 10% of that to be released and he couldn’t pay the 12 k the article said.
That is awesome stuff and good on him. That is rough work especially Alzheimers patients and families. Judah has had some run ins and stupidity but has mostly seemed like a down to Earth decent dude.
That is absolutely tragic, all those punches, all those punc...
Remember when he was running around with a fat wad and duffing people up in the street over 100 bucks games of dice? Long, long life to live after boxing.
On the other hand, respect for getting a good honest respectable job. Zab is among the last ex-multi-million blowers you'd expect to go this route. High five, high five.
Anyone else see Broner doing this in 10 years time?
Easier to see Broner doing 10 years honestly. Minimum 5 with good behavior and favorable hearing ;D.
Can always see and hope a fighter is thinking about the next chapter. Judah apparently had a shit 2016 with 4 fight dates being cancelled and being suspended by Nevada commission for falsifying documents ???. 2017 has judges and court orders involved and just violated probation last month :-X. Very much needs to get his head out of his arse if for anything else than to show credible steady employment and buy his kids some diapers and support. Not to be a complete cynical prick hopefully he'll find a new career and stop taking punches.
Damn at first I thought he did it out of the goodness of his heart, I forgot he went broke. Oh well hope he straightens out
It's worse, now 42 he's fighting Cletus Seldin tomorrow night for something called a NABA title :-X.
Long live the chicken dance :dance1:
Me think it to USA PPV. Crazy me see game may either way
Eh ? He's fighting tonight in New York against Cletus Seldin
While I hate it for Zab that he's lost money I'm happy that he's found a job and is doing something useful (potentially rewarding in more than a monetary sense) with his life and I hope that career goes well for him.

Zab Judah has apparently been hospitalized after being stopped last night
https://youtu.be/rW65vHyAOoQ
Bad news. Hopefully he mends and moves on. There was no need to be fighting at this stage. Too inactive and old. It's no game.
Watching it now, first two rounds fill out. Judah pumping the jab a lot, but no authority to them. At end of 3rd I think? Judah clocked, almost did the chicken dance, but bell saved him
https://youtu.be/NIFIS19fSf0
Sorry fight. Zab constantly backed up, then when he is in the center of ring, just clinching taking punishment. A guy named Cletus is switch hitting on Judah Southpaw to Orthadox. Every time crowd tries to get by Zab & holler Judah, Cletus brings the fight to him.
Ref stops fight to put Seldin mouthpiece in and spends about 15 seconds looking for it ! That's when Cleefus, Cleotis whatever his name is brought the pain and started snapping Zab's head back Does another rendition of his famous chicken dance, falls against the ropes where the ref stops it.
Ring card girls were tight, but this was one sorry fight. Zab can't box, can't evade, has no aggression. Throws one left at a time. Way too predictable.
Kal Yafai on Twitter saying that Judah suffered a bleed on the brain, but there seems to be very little news on it?
Fucking baffles me that to get your Pro licence, you have to jump through a million hoops , and rightly so.
But once you’ve got your licence, you can fight no matter whether you’re fit to or not.
I’m not saying there was anything untoward specifically in this case, but he’s 41 years old and clearly fighting out of desperation. Sometimes people need to be saved from themselves.
This has got tragedy written all over it.
Good to hear. While its always sad to hear about former champs fighting on too long and getting hurt, there isnt much that can be amended to stop it from happening. Im sure Judah was fit to fight, has no prior history of any brain trauma that I know of, and beforehand most wouldnt have seen any problem, it was a fine competitive fight on paper. It is crazy how it seems a theme for these very talented guys who were seen as lacking grit or determination at their peak, to start facing the big risks and taking their licks only once they are physically shot. Judah really impressed me years ago with his efforts against Matthyse and Garcia, showed exactly the kind of stuff people thought he didnt have in his day. Roy Jones was another one, when he was a freak and atop the sport he fought a bunch of clowns, then well after hes finished takes fights like Lebedev in Russia etc. Just goes to show how hard it must be for these guys to accept its over.
Sorry me to Judah thoughts recover. Many to fighter go same path can no walk away
