Current Anthony Joshua vs. Early Lennox Lewis.
By early, I mean Lewis when he was 21 fights into his career like Joshua.
Who would win? Lewis had a better jab and faster hands, but he had a tendency to get a bit wild. You could argue that Joshua has fought better opposition than Lewis had at that point of his career.
Re: Current Anthony Joshua vs. Early Lennox Lewis.
I think batman brought up their respective opponents and AJ's was better but that was largely due to AJ going up the rankings quicker because of weaker competition in front of him.
Lennox was talented early on but those faults yo mentioned were corrected when he was with Manny Steward. Lewis was good with Davenport training him early and went backwards with Pepe Correra.

Yeah in another post I went through each of their fights and asked the question, I can't be arsed/im too drunk to be fucked with doing it all over again.
It's a valid question but you have to remember that AJ was elevated into his position by the media machine, I was only a nipper when Lewis was fighting but as far as exposure goes it makes it an entirely different sport these days.
Re: Current Anthony Joshua vs. Early Lennox Lewis.
I can't believe anybody is seriously talking about this. Lennox Lewis would Spark Anthony Joshua in less than three rounds the same way he sparked Andrew golota. You people have to be kidding me if you think Anthony Joshua had any chance not even a snowball's chance in hell. Joshua might make it into the 4th or the 5th round like Michael Grant or did he even make it that far? Like Tommy Morrison. Lennox Lewis would spark Anthony Joshua so bad that some of the Sparks from his chin could be bottled and saved for the following Fourth of July fireworks display

Read the title of the thread, it says early Lennox Lewis not the later one that destroyed Grant and Galota.

Early Lennox was good against Mason and Ruddock but also showed weak performances against Tucker and Bruno as well as obviously Oliver McCall.

McCall closed his eyes and through an overhand right and just got lucky. But he did look rather mediocre against Frank Bruno didn't he

Bruno was probably winning the fight, his jab was causing Lennox a lot of problems.
