Thanks I need all the help I can get! I guess if I had to choose one over the other it would be the Beatles. Actually, I like alot of the one hit wonders, like Procol Harum (Whiter Shade of Pale), Crowded House (Don't Dream It's Over) etc. My tastes have changed over the years drastically, as I love Opeth/Old Metallica/Disturbed.

Two hit wonder actually, don't forget Conquistador ( your stallion stands ) recorded live with the London Symphony Orchestra.

I'm mostly into the classic 60s and 70s. Neil, Dylan, Clapton, Steely Dan, The Band, etc etc. Jeff Beck still puts out gems every few years. He turned 65 last month I like some old old metal/hard rock, such as Black Sabbath, old Van Halen, etc, Aerosmith Toys in the Attic. Metallica never really did it for me.

Actually I did forget about Conquistador, guess I didn't consider it a hit. Yea, the 60's and 70's are my favorites also. Steppenwolf, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, ELO etc. I was never really into the hard rock back then, I actually enjoy some of that music now, tastes change I guess.

On another topic, I really enjoy watching boxing and MMA, wish I could talk intelligently about it on the boards. I'm such a novice when it comes to comparing the boxers and their styles that I'm afraid I'd get put in my place really quick.

I wouldn't worry about it, everyone has to start somewhere. When I got here I didn't know very much about the sport at all, only that I liked it. Now, three years later, I'm a Mod and I still don't know shit about the sport .

Most people will go pretty easy on you and just don't let those who aren't as kind bother you.

I noticed you listed a couple of metal bands earlier, do you like Sepultura, Pantera, or Meshuggah? Those are my personal favorites.

lol...I'm sure you're very knowledgeable about the sport, wouldn't think you'd make mod if you weren't. Not sure if I'll get as far as you did in 3 years but I'll certainly try. I know, some folks on here are just down right bothersome. I've read many of the posts (again trying to educate myself) and wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of some of their words.

I love Pantera, wish they were still around. Still watch the video of when Dime Bag got shot that night, what a waste of good talent and just a down to earth great guy.

Hmm, I like the really old Mac, such as Station Man, but the Stevie Nicks era Mac I don't like so much anymore. Steppenwolf were great rockers, but I also think they were underrated as lyricists. They were very socially conscious. Check out For Ladies Only if you can find the original album version, the version on all the compilation albums is missing a whole verse and extended piano solo. Heart played our high school just before they became famous. They did great versions of Zeppelin tunes. I was really big on Zep back in the day.

They're just words. Some people are just abrasive and the internet provides them with a medium by which they suffer no consequences so they act out as much as they wish.

Regarding Pantera, I saw one of their last ever shows, it was great. I can't watch the vid. of Dime getting killed, I hate shit like that.

I've always liked Stevie Nicks' voice, so I was and still am a fan of hers. That's great having Heart play at your H.S. They played at the casino up in Oklahoma not to long ago, I would have loved to see them. I'll have to check on "For Ladies Only", I don't recall ever hearing that album. Sounds funny talking about albums, I'm sure some will say what the hell are those? I still have my original Led Zepplin album, although it's a bit warped and not really in playing shape...lol.

Some people just like the attention even in cyberspace to make themselves out to be something their not. Doubt if some of them would actually back up half of what they say if it were face to face with the person.

I hear you about Dime, the video showing Vinnie and his dad is really a heart breaker.

I know. I didn't think people having a composed, civil discussion was possible on here either.

We are but a small minority that "can" have discussions without being ugly
