Hopkins vs. Cloud Agreement Reached For March 9th - Boxing News

Can't believe it. I thought for sure he was going to choose Cleverly or Shumanov. Guess he still likes a challenge.

Its a winnable fight for the old guy if he has anything left. He wont have to use his legs and style wise it could look a lot like Hop/Pavlik.

Agreed. I don't rate Cloud, apart from his silver lining, which tickles the inner magpie.

Somewhere Lyle is firing a shotgun in the backyard

I'm not calling Cloud Jeff Lacy but, yeh. Complete toss up at this point for me totally depending on if Cloud has learned anything and Hopkins has aged..more. I'll go Hopkins. Experience and styles.

I have no idea what any of this sentance means.

Don't worry, I would say we'd get a thread merge going, but that would be dependant on one of those lazy mods doing their jobs, which I'm not holding my breath on, as I'm sure Missy had some ironing on the go

I just wish Bernard would retire. I cannot see him being short of $$$$$$$ It must be pride keeps him fighting. I dont want to see him get beaten by some punk who isnt really fit to carry the great champions jockstrap because he fought too long

You should rate him, he is 30 and Hopkins is 47-30=17. Hopkins has taken a lot of fighters to school but it can 't go on forever.
I like Hopkins--even after he spanked Pavlik--but I wish he would retire and enjoy his senior years.
Don't worry, he can't find me.

I said age would catch up to Hopkins in the Trinidad fight, and then the De La Hoya fight. I gave up writing off Hopkins years ago.

Hopkins can’t keep going, what more can he achieve? Hopkins needs to retire but he must love the money and the sport.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
