Vivian Harris also 1.5 lbs over the 142 lb limit set for the Ortiz fight what a farce!

DeGale came in heavy aswel didnt he.

Nobody respects weight stipulations these days because they are not penalised severely enough so its more convenient to just weigh whatever they feel like.

Mora gets his biggest fight and can't make it to 154 after weeks of training? How professional and dedicated he is

I think Mora is different to be honest just watching the live weigh in he looks like an Ethiopian aids victim he has no business fighting at 154 when he has been fighting up at Middleweight, De Gale looked fleshy and not in great shape.

Harris as well there was a reason he moved to 147, why the fuck he even got this fight I don't no.

Someone should be arrested for signing war torn and shot to pieces Harris vs Ortiz........I'm almost weary of watching that. Could just put in Saw 1,2,3 etc

Its Weekend. Its fight time and I love Mosley. I cannot stand Sergio Mora-of-less .....I cannot pick against Shane. But I hate this fight for him. The size. Style. Atomsphere.

He just can't make the weight. He couldn't in the second Forrest fight either. I doubt it's a lack of professionalism or a lack of dedication.

What's his penalty? Is the fight still happening?

It was a weird weigh-in day. Some people might want to reevaluate the knee jerk response.

Sergio Mora three pounds over weight limit for bout against Sugar Shane Mosley - ESPN Los Angeles

"Golden Boy CEO Richard Schaefer said Mora told him he was surprised to be overweight because he had weighed himself earlier on another scale at his hotel and was on weight. Schaefer said Mora believed the official scale was off. Mora might be right because Carlos Baldomir and Vivian Harris, both of whom are on the televised undercard, were also overweight."

Read the article and you will find that Mora actually made weight at 153.6 for the fight but the California rules don't give fighters time to come back for a second weight-in if he is 2 or more pounds over. Anyway the fight is on.

Alvarez actually declined to take the $12,000 from Baldomir's $60,000 because he is earning $200,000. I would be intrested if Mosley did the same for Mora since $57,000 is the fine of of his $285,00 while Mosley purse is $1 million.

Sounds a bit dodgy, more so if all those other guys were coming in heavy too. It seems he made weight anyway, so it would be nice of Mosley to hold back on the penalty. It doesn't really seem justified to me.

I could understand 1 lb, but that is too much weight to lose in such a short space of time.

Almost seems pointless to have a weight limit if no one bothers to stick to it.

But if the scales were off, how bad is that? But then that would mean the other fighters have come in under

That's classy by Saul Alvarez to let Baldomir keep his purse.

This may sound barbaric of me but I hope to hell that Mora is fatigued and weight drained and that Shane beats the fuck out of him...but I agree with Spicoli, I don't like the fight for Mosley, very bad choice IMO. I would think that somebody like Mora would be on Andy Lee's radar about now and I would like that match.
