Interesting vid . I noticed that about Joe too . . his tendancy to hold the other guys arm whilst hitting him with the other. That comes with experience and its these little things that give him the edge over Kess IMO cuz other than they are pretty evenly matched .

There was another vid on there when Joe says he would batter Eubank now but the only reason it went 12 is cuz it was his 1st 12 rounder . Im not so sure . Chris was coming in at short notice, after a long period of inactivity and coming down in weight . I agree it was Joes biggest challenge but he won it pretty wide . I think Kessler will push him harder on Sat

That Kessler right hand is going to be a big issue for Calzaghe!
    Excellent Vid by the way!

Joes fragile hands wil be a key. They could easily determine which way the fight goes.

I'm getting a bit worried about Joe's talk of retirement etc, do you think the possibility of defeat is entering his mind?

I agree with a few things this guy said, but one thing in particular about Calzaghe I disagree with is his handspeed... He definitely doesn't close to the fastest hands in the sport though he is a good combination puncher. He is quick, but he isn't as fast as Mundine. Another thing that I thought was wrong is that Kessler stays on the ropes, if somebody has watched more than one of his fights you will see he is very adept at moving off the ropes, even that clip showed after one or two punches are thrown he slips off the ropes instead of trying to block everything. I think that the left hand of both of them is key, For Calzaghe he lands his left in every way possible, and Kessler uses it to launch one of the best jabs in boxing along with a left hook that lands like a brick.

Personally I believe that Calzaghe should keep his hands up obviously, Fight in close because he is a great inside fighter, and keep using lateral movement, and holding Kessler. A pure tactician will wait to throw the most effective punches, and sometimes will lose rounds because they are outworked. I fully believe Calzaghe can overwhelm Kessler by throwing combinations, spinning, and holding Mikkel.

Joe has to move a lot, keep Kess on his toes so his power is affected, Joe needs to shine the shoes and get out without getting countered.

Kessler needs to work behind the jab and try and let Joe move himself into a corner where Kess should be able to jump on him better. Kessler should also mix in lead right crosses but they had better be bang on the money or else he's going to get some punches in return which he didn't want.

I see Joe winning by decision but Kessler could very well be the right guy at the right place at the right time and KO Calzaghe....but then again we all thought Jeff Lacy was that guy too. There is just too much difference between the Cream of the 168 division and the "contenders" for me to make a solid guess......I like Calzaghe though but his attitude may get in the way of fighting a smart fight this go round

Why would Calzaghe need to get out? Kessler's weakness if any is on the inside.

Well you don't want to spend 3 minutes of each round on the inside, you don't have as much power as you do on the way in which is how Joe does damage....in and out and constant movement.

He needs to get out of dodge without getting hit is the crux of my should's and shouldn'ts for Calzaghe...say what you will but Joe C doesn't want to get caught either on the way in or the way out with a Kessler counter right cross....that wouldn't be good

    CC for being in agreement.

Just dont see it being very competitive and then i see Calzaghe failing to pick up credit...again.

If it's one sided Kessler falls into everybody's 'over rated pile'
