Default Rubio wanting Chavez Jr fight turned to no contest

    http://www.boxingnews24.com/2012/02/rubio-filing-protest-to-wbc-to-get-loss-to-chavez-jr-changed-to-no-contest/

I personally feel it should be over turned especially since there wasn't a drug test conducted. He has a pretty solid statement since the guy gained 20 lbs after weigh in. Thoughts?

yeah he has a case but like the article says its unlikely he will gain any fruits

hes got 2 and 2 and hes putting them together and they look like theres a strong case for them making 4 but theres just as much chance of them making 37

    It isn't going to happen.

They haven't overturned the judges decisions on Campillo-Cloud, have they?

I really wish they would make it a NC, and by all rights they should. If boxing was as legit as other mainstream sports, they certainly would.

What kind of precedent does it set? I can use whatever substances I want, then simply skip out before they drug test me and say I forgot. I think it's dangerous for them to allow this to go unpunished.

I agree something needs to be done to stop this happening and that changing the result of the fight would be fair, i'm not naive enough to think that for 1 second anything is going to be done though.

It's frustrating for fans that these things happen so I can't begin to imagine what's it's like for fighters on the receiving. Absolute BS.

There needs to be a universal governing body run without any corruption what so ever where the rules are enforced. If they are broken then the punishments would be severe.....hold on now i'm being naive

Just ask Dwain Chambers if he regrets breaking the rules.

Rubio is talking out of his ass, he didn't take a drug test either so the decision will stay the same, and I don't even like Chavez Jr, he had an opportunity to get it done and he blew it just like he has in the past, he should just stay quiet and walk away and wait for another decent payday

This had to be done sooner (immediately) rather than later. Too much time has passed and yeah... he should just walk away. Besides, he's dreaming if he thinks Papa Chavez and "Sleazebucket" Sulaiman will stand idly by and let Rubio or anyone else bring up something that might tarnish "The Coddled One's" carefully crafted record.

He ducked a drugs test so yeah it should be over turned. He has just rejected a fight with Martinez because Srgio wanted random testing. Whats he hiding? He has a history of this and a fight earlier in bis career was changed because he was found to be on summat. He obviously doing summat dodgy.

A guy under Freddy Roach and Alex Ariza refusing a drug test doesn't really shock, does it?
