Default Tommy Cooper Dying On Stage

OK i was watching the Tommy Cooper special tonight about his life and always remember watching him die on stage when I was a kid and not knowing he had died till the news came on later the same night.... they never showed it again on TV so i youtubed it and it was there.

wish i hadn't its left me feeling really strange and morbid but i'm wondering if my feelings on it are strange as i just can't shake the images from it now and that is 4 to 5 hours after watching it.

Serves you right for watching snuff movies, a bit like watching fights you know the boxer will die.

Stage dive. But Tommy missed the V.

He'd have loved it. "Not like that."

That was nothing. Try this, a local politician being convicted of corruption then decides to shoot himself in the mouth on live tv.

Tommy Cooper is my all time comedy hero. A master of his craft who took crap jokes and crapper magic to a level that no one else ever could - or will be able to. Audiences would be laughing as he walked on stage and just looked at them.

"Look at that - a sitting ovation" he would say

I know this clip is out there but have never watched it and never will for the reasons you go into and that you experienced.

With reference to fights I do watch Benn v Mcclellan again though sometimes but I stop it after Benn wins. Although the tragedy was happening right there in fron of our very eyes.

Can't help but wince when Reg Gutteridge says "he's blinking a lot gym don't know if its a mannerism......"

Agreed I have watched the Benn fight as well as Eubanks v Watson 2 but other fights I have recorded like Gabe Ruelas i have not watched again, in that case the opponent did die.
