    after discussions at the convention in miami, the wba decided that abril shall remain their interim lightweight champion.

    Not really, since Rios came in over weight the WBA could not take a fee from him in the next fight for holding the title. This is just making sure they get paid for Abril's next fight.

    For any justice to be done the decision must be overturned, which it won't because Abril won't sell nearly as many tickets as Rios and not even close to as much investment has been put into him.

    Kinda of trying to have it both ways. Either overturn the decision, set immediate rematch or "stand" by the competence () of judges and let the ruling stand. Could be massaged in other cases where maybe 'others' saw a fight differently and make up rules as they go.

    Its like having your cake and eating it too.
    Whats next for there board meeting. The monthly how to screw more money out of our boxing fans while at the same time shitting on the sport they love discussion. If so there meetings are working increadibly well.

    How can they allow Abril to still be champion if he lost that fight, surely it must become vacant which is the norm?
