Default Cotto v Margarito possible for 2008

Arum said if Cotto wins and Tony wins on November 10,and neither Mayweather nor Oscar want to fight Cotto(highly likely,Floyd may price himself out and and Oscar won't fight a PR fighter ie he doesnt want any of Cotto) then Tony is next in line! This would be my personal greatest fight ever!!! I need to see this fight.

I think there's a bigger possibility of Cotto fighting Tony if Cotto LOSES on November 10th! Floyd would take Cotto if he beats Mosely..Cotto would then be worth enough to Floyd to get his attention. If Cotto loses to Mosely though, I don't think Floyd will want to bother with him.
I think the match ups that will be made next year are Mayweather vs Mosely and Cotto vs Margarito. Hatton will go on to possibly face ODLH after losing to Floyd. (although it seems surreal to imagine those 2 fighting! They seemed like such good mates at the London conference, cracking little jokes with each other)
That's my predictions on matchups for 2008

I could see that happening if Cotto loses to Mosley. If Cotto wins,Mosley may retire! Hatton will defintely fight Oscar win lose or draw. I'm not sure if PBF will fight Cotto even if Cotto wins. Maybe Cotto won't be "big" enough for him.

I see no opponent listed for Margaito who is he fighting ?? style wise this would be one of the best matches your going to see in boxing both men come straight forward throwing power shots but i see Mayweather beating Hatton and then definetly fighting the winner of Mosley vs Cotto and i also believe Mosley will beat Cotto so maybe it could happen i would love seeing it.

I have a hard time seeing the Cotto/Mosley winner fighting anyone other than Mayweather next.

That will be by far the biggest money fight out there in the welterweight division.

If Hatton loses, there's no way he's fighting Cotto, or any other big welterweight for that matter.

Hatton is only fighting Floyd because it's for a ton of money and because Floyd isn't a true welterweight. Floyd is actually a smaller guy than Hatton.

Do you honestly think Floyd is a natural 130 pound fighter like the rest of these wombles? Floyd could not make 140 never mind 130!!

When did I ever say Floyd could make 130, or any other weight for that matter?

it's not that he could make 130, or 135.. THe point is that he could have comfortably stayed there rather then adding muscle to his frame in order to move up. I'm sure he could make 140 as well, if he had to.

This is really pissing me off how Arum is talking about possible match ups for Cotto and he hasn't even gotten pass future hall of famer Sugar Shane Mosley. I have no problem with Cotto but i hate Arum and all Cotto fans for making this guy more than what he is. It's o.k. he will get his wake up call when he fights Sugar.

If you could somehow assume that Cotto wins, then I see no chance of him messing with Margarito. Really, I don't. Margarito just isn't a big name.

Now if Cotto loses then I think it's a bit of a perfect match.

I do not know styles makes fights and Margarito style is not good for Cotto reason being is Cotto likes to bang and i dont think he is as strong as Margarito but i could be wrong and his chin i am not sure how it go with that power and Margarito has a chin of steel from what i have seen
