Ray's flashiness and bravado will overcome Winky's consistency. But it would be close. SRL wins via SD12.

These yester-year comparisons are so hard to figure...

Wright's defense seems almost light years beyond all the other fighters...I'd have to think that it'd pose the same problem for even the previous big wigs. Factor in his jab...Wright's a tuff nut to crack.

That being said...Wright being one of my favorites...Leonard would probably beat him.

It seems academic, but I hate all of these threads because you never know, I have a completist nature.

I think Leonard can't beat Winky... Winky is much faster than Hagler was, and Leonard could not deal with his jab... Look at Hearns' jab, and his wasn't even as sharp as Winky's or as often thrown, and he still kept Leonard back. I also think that Leonard hit as hard though he is a better knockout puncher than WInky, but that will not be a factor because he can't dent Ronald. I still say that its a close fight, and Winky could very well lose on the cards due to poor judging, and a less exciting style, but that he would deserve to win. Sidenote: If he can deal with Mosley and Robert Frazier's speed he can deal with Leonard's.

I would like to say once again I don't hate on the older fighters, but its just bad matchups IMO or bad matchups IMO, and RJJ-Hagler is route, and I think Winky would beat Leonard in a pretty good fight.
