    Default Carlos Zarate vs Rodolfo martinez

    Very high skill level in this fight; watch their feet. George Latka is a judge. He used to own a bar down in Orange County, Ca., near Huntington Beach High School (where all the girls look like Britney Spears) and I went there many times. Never when he was there, however. He had a boxing history that was astounding, including working the Sugar Ramos/Davy Moore fight at Dodger Stadium. talking to him would have been a religious experience for me. Anywho, a fight in 4 parts.

    He was a very tidy and technical boxer. I have not seen him before.

    At one point Zarate was 51-0 (50). He doesn't fight at all like you would expect a guy with all those KOs to fight. If that makes sense.
    The guy that trained him also trained Alfonso Zamora and lupe Pintor ( they later broke ties with that trainer and fought Zarate), as well as Ruben Olivares and bazooka Limon. Also, the trainer of Zarate started Ricardo Lopez as a pro and the legendary Nacho beristain learned at his feet.

    That is quality form and that history of skill means the man was a great fighter.

    Rodolfo Martinez

    Was a great fighter from Mexico.

    An absolutely briliant ring technician, who was a sharp accurate puncher with
    excellent power.

    Rodolfo was the WBC Bantamweight Champion when he fought the 'legendary'
    Carlos Zarate.

    * Age ......... 27 years, 9 months
    * Height ..... 5' 5 1/2"
    * Record .... 42-3-1 {34 KO's}

    Managed by; Lupe Sanchez

    Rodolfo was making his 4th-Title Defense of the WBC Championship that he won back
    on December 7, 1974 by {TKO 4} over Rafael Herrera.

    Rodolfo was no stranger to California, as this was his 10th-Bout here.
