Default Derek Chisora v Dillian Whyte 2

Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte ‘agree’ to £5million deal to fight at Anthony Joshua weigh-in in London

The duo are keen to agree to a rematch on December 22, but had previously been unable to agree terms

Derek Chisora and Dillian Whyte have agreed in principle to fight once again on December 22 after bumping into one another at the Anthony Joshua weigh-in.

The undefeated Brit takes on Alexander Povetkin live on talkSPORT on Saturday night from Wembley, but much of the attention from Friday’s weigh-in was devoted to his two stablemates.

Chisora and Whyte fought in 2016 in a pulsating heavyweight affair which turned into an absolute slugfest, ending with Whyte having his hand raised in a somewhat controversial manner.

After months of vile insults and confrontations which threatened to boil over, the pair delivered a fantastic contest – a worthy candidate for Fight of the Year.

And now, almost two years since their first fight, a deal appears to be close for them to do it again.

In a video on Chisora’s Twitter page, Whyte can be seen offering the 30-year-old a £5million cheque.

Upon hearing this offer, Whyte duly shakes his hand and claims the fight is on.

Speaking to Sky Sports News afterwards to clarify, Whyte said: “With Dereck Chisora you never know. He said he was going to write me a cheque for £5m to take the fight, so I said I’ll sit and wait for the cheque to come. Please make sure it doesn’t bounce. We’ll see.

“I don’t know where he’s going to get £5m from, but let’s see what happens.”

Whyte has also been tipped to fight former foe Anthony Joshua once again, after he handed him his first professional loss in 2015.

However, the WBC silver belt holder is willing to put future plans on hold to finally end his long-running feud with Chisora.

“Listen, I’m ready to go whenever,” he said. “I want to put a key in that, and turn it, and throw it away forever.

“I believe if Dereck Chisora fights me it will be his last fight. The comeback king will be gone forever.”

Such a load of bollocks this is. Talk has never been cheaper.
    1. Where the fuck does Chisora get £5 million from?
    2. Who is he to start writing out cheques? Is Del Boy some sort of promoter now?
    3. If Whyte gets £5 Million, how much does Chisora get?
    4. Have either of these ever earned 10% of this figure? Fuck me, it was only a few months ago that David Haye was offering Chisora £85k to fight Joe Joyce, and he took LESS to fight someone else. (Euro champ and lost.)

Totally agree, I'd like to see the rematch, I doubt either guy makes that sort of money for the fight tho. I think Whyte will emerge the better man clearly this time.

Whyte v Parker did nearly 500,000 PPV buys at £16.99 a go that's £8.5 million right there and Whyte v Chisora would do more as the build up will be way more entertaining.
Let's say £10 million plus in PPV revenue plus the O2 Arena gate receipts.
Don't forget Hearns got the DAZN $Billion to play with as well.
This is EASY to make happen.

Hearn didn't like this AT ALL when it went down earlier... just check out his face 😂

Of course not but he's been backed right into a corner now.
The fact this will go head to head with Frampton v Warrington (Warren) and easily out sell it means a big yes 😉
The public wanna see this rematch as the first fight was a belter.
This'll happen... No doubt Hearn will 're negotiate behind closed doors but his ego/hate for Warren will get this over the line.

I agree the 1st fight was cracking. I can't really say how much the public want to see a rematch (not being a Brit). Chisora is coming of a nice win, but I would still consider him a gatekeeper type. Good interim fight tho. Hearn definitely won't want to be paying Whyte 5 mil.

It probably will. But not for the money these clowns are talking about.

Dereck Chisora and Dillian Whyte have to be applauded , they are both warriors.
Chisora has had so many defeats than have finished many men , but he just sucks it up and goes to war with the next guy.
I will be paying to watch this , good luck to both men.

    LOL his face!

It's a combination of awkward and nervous.
