Default Training with an Inguinal Hernia?

First off, let me just say that I appreciate all the advice you guys gave me in regards to getting my jab back to where it needs to be. But here's a new problem: a hernia. I was working on my abs about 3 weeks ago and i felt a tear in my lower stomach near my groin and didn't think anything about it, probably strained a muscle, whatever. I left my abs alone for a few days and didn't feel any pain during my recovery period. Eventually I went back to working on my abs along with everything else. About a week and a half ago i noticed a bulge where I felt the tear (top right of my ding dong on the pubic bone if you wanna go into details) and with the bulge came some pain, especially when I would stand. It then spread down the right side of my right testicle and my inner thing on my right leg. I pushed that fuckin bulge back in and went to the doctor. They then told me I have a Inguinal Hernia, now I have to follow-up with a surgeon to schedule surgery next week to seal the tear or whatever with mesh. Until the surgery, I'd still like to continue training cause I don't like wasting time. I know weights are probably pretty much out. How about the speed bag, or the maize bag? What are my limits?

    Thanks fellas.

I know about hernias...Have one on my right side as we speak, in 2008 had my left testicle removed because of an old, old hernia, subsequent rupture and ensuing infection. This all happened because I was always a very durable, rugged guy who had no time to be hurt or to coddle himself. Pain goes away, I always believed, and it does...to gather it's forces. Speed bag should be ok, but if your repair procedure is so close, I would wait, get it fixed and not risk it.
By the way, when you jab, its best to have a quick turn of the shoulder and hip, but do not shift the weight on your feet.

Follow your doctor's advice precisely. And goodluck with the surgery.
