I enjoyed watching martial arts films just for the entertainment of it but wasn't much impressed by the choreo of most of them. Remember those 'hup, two, three' type kung-fu movies that came by the hundreds after Bruce Lee, including old Jackie Chan ones, moving up, literally, to the flying (on the string) ones. Then, I was impressed, for the first time, when I watched Jet Lee's Fist of Legend. I thought that it was as good as it can get.. Strange though, after all these years, there's nobody who can beat ol' Bruce. Wonder why. He was a hyper. He had a nerve and a reflex of a cat; maybe that did him in too...

Finally watched IP Man 2 and it was also a good film. It was just like Rocky 4 and fighting a boxer at the end was quality especially the young Bruce Lee coming in.

Watched snake and the eagles shadows with my son and he loved it. I had forgotten how brilliant it was. There is funny, comical, and had superb moves. Quality film.

Watch IP Man 2, it is as good, but really Snake in the Eagles Shadow, which is older, is a quality movie all round. Jackie Chan at his peak.

Watched Chocolate and it was crap, although the end fight scene was good.

...into karate since kid, even before Bruce became famous, it's hard for me to appreciate martial arts movie these dayz, some of the cinematic tricks and theatrics are too obvious for us... but I liked the scene of 'snake charmer' kung-fu lady (at the Shaolin temple?) in the latest Karate Kid movie... I miss the old school drunken master series a bit though, they were always entertaining...
