Pound for Pound, which weight class is the most talented of all time? Most entertaining?
Should be interesting... and I'm interested to hear Britkid's response to this one.

Maybe the Welterweights.
Out of the classic eight, I reckon it goes:
8 Bantamweight
7 Flyweight
6 Light Heavyweight
5 Lightweight
4 Heavyweight
3 Featherweight
2 Welterweight
1 Middleweight
The Middleweights just edge the Welterweights out, purely because there are a few more household names, at the heavier weight.
Featherweight is the sleeper division, it is packed with quality, thoughout its entire history.
Heavyweight has to come next, as it has produced a lot of the biggest figures (figuratively and literally) in not just Boxing history, but in sports history.
Lightweight, has has a lot of superb fighters; but perhaps lacked the rivalries of the divisions above them, in my list.
Light Heavyweight, has nearly always been deceptively strong, a few absolute stand out champions, but perhaps the division is slightly at a disadvantage of being overshadowed by the Heavyweights.
Flyweight edges out the Bantams just, because of one or two extraordinary champions, but that is not to belittle the Bantams, who have given us some of the most exciting fighters in the sports history.
I was going to say that, either Welterweight or Middleweight.
I reckon its welterweights. The last 30 years of welterweights has produced so many classic fights, and legends.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
Welterweight, quite easily for me.
Light-Heavyweight is up there based on a bunch of a top, top guys (Charles, Moore, Conn, Foster, Spinks, Jones Jr).
I think Welterweight and Midleweigth too but Heavyweight is always the king class ! ! !
yeah cause of rahman right :P
I cant decide on welterweight or middleweight...but I'm gonna opt for middleweight cos most of the very best welterweights end up fighting at middleweight at some point in their careers. It's always been that way, although I'm sure i will be corrected.
I have to agree, welter and middle. Perhaps middle because of what someone said... many of the great welters fight middle. Ray Robinson, Ray Leonard, Hearns, we also have Hagler in there, RJJ... lots of talent.
But both are definitely my favourite weight division to watch. And I love how Middle has speed and technique, and also power.
Heavyweight is the king class - just hasn't produced much excitement since maybe Tyson, Evander, Riddick Bowe, or Muhammad Ali.Originally Posted by Rahman

the crusier devision is heating up there are alot of very good fighters in it. also the super middles as well that is a class divison.
I would have to say Welterweight because alot of the biggest names at Middlewieght were better at welterwieght, and alot of the amazing welterweights never made it up to middleweight.
