Toney Says He Weighs 270

Check it--video interview on boxingtalk. I feel like he must be joking (he only weighed like 235 against Rahman and looked horrendously fat and out of shape there)--but he looked serious.

yeah, i figured. he should really come in at around 220 though. if he gets tired and hit with something from peter, he won't get up. but i guess even if he's hideously out of shape it's still highly unlikely he gets hit with anything flush. he'll just be lazy on the offense again.

Yeah Toney is just jerkin the media around and havin some fun. He's gotta be tired of all the weight questions, which he did bring on himself. So he's fukin with reporters. It reminds me of somethin I watched this mornin bout Nick Nolte where years ago he had told a reporter with a straight face, that he had had several "testical tucks". I hope James is focused enuff and sensible enuff to come in around 220, is that really too much to ask? Otherwise I think he is disrespecting Peter's tremendous power and asking to be KO'd.

Toney was sayin that to the reporters asking him his weight he just went "270" as in "FUCK OFF!! I AINT TELLIN YOU SHIT!!!" but it was the nice way to say it

unfortunately it might be true. toney thinks he could do anything he wants and still win
there is no reason for him to even be 220 or 235 he should weigh 200 so he could move and
punch a little better. he was sluggish against rahman at 235 but against peter he may need a little
bulk i would love to see him at 220 for THIS fight but im worried he is 270!!!!

If toney is really at 270 or even at 240, then yes perhaps he needs someone to ko his fatass to make him run and lose some weight.

Shit, this man has been in the 168pounds division, can't believe it
