    Default Lucian Bute

This guy seems to be getting hyped up but I know nothing about him.

For people that have seen him, is he a boxer, or a pressure fighter, or what? What kind of power, handspeed, boxing skills does he have?

I'd like to see him in with guys like Allan Green, Librado Andrade, guys of that level, and find out who the best 168 prospect is. Or Jean Pascal who I think is a better prospect than Green.

I also would like to see more of him. I seen Andrade a couple of times and have been impressed.

Pascal I think would beat Bute from what I hear he has no defense.

They are both Montreal based fighters Im sure they've sparred together, Im not sure you can say Bute has no defence, because he's really dominated every single fight he's been in, and he's faced some very respectable competition in the last couple years, better opponents than Allan Green or any other prospect has been in with.. He's a very good boxer puncher, southpaw, good power and handspeed, great body work.. Defence is the question I agree but he hasn't really been tested or hit much at all yet so it's not fair to say it's poor.

I saw his fight with James Obede Toney from Friday. He looks strong, dominated Toney before the referee waved it off.

He looks like a come forward, pressure fighter but that was the only fight I've seen of him so don't know for sure.

Yea he has looked the same in most of his fights, but imo it really just says his opponents haven't been able to give him much to worry about, I think he's a very smart fighter he really is effective when he presses forward, very accurate as well. Like I say, his defence and how he deals with a slick boxer are yet to be seen, but I think he has enough talent and skill to avoid any slip ups before he reaches world level.

He's a come forward exciting fighter. He would get beaten by someone who knows how to move

you do stick to your guns don't you

I don't know, I haven't seen enough of him yet but he looks like he has pretty quick feet and hands, not really a plodder, definitely not as flat footed as Lacy. Although he doesn't show it in those fights with the height and footwork I wouldn't be surprised if he could fight on his back foot pretty well. Slips the right fairly well too.

A counter-punching banger like Froch would give him fits.

Has Froch improved? I didn't see his last fight, McGee is a pretty decent win.

It's just that I've seen four of his fights and every time I've seen him he's looked horrible.

Froch is over ripe and needs to step up the opposition - he tends to sink to their level.

He smoked magee in the 11th, world-class uppercut.

Credit to him though, he didn't gloat or celebrate until magee came off the oxygen.
