    Default Advantage or disadvantage?

    Hairy fighter Bald fighter

It might sound silly, ridiculous, stupid bla bla bla. I just like watching boxing matches but further I dont know a thing beyond it!

    My question is:
Are there any advantages or disadvantages for hairy and non hairy , shaved, bald etc etc boxers? (body or facial hair)

My english is not so good, but I hope Im understood.
    Tnx.

Most organisations won't let you have facial hair because it agrivates cuts and can damage the other guy's eyes etc...

As for head hair... what ever makes you feel comfortable... I like mine short when I fight... but look at Lennox Lewis and Chris Byrd...

Thnx AdamGB, but dont you think when you have those dreadlocks, it will make your head a bit slow to move?

I think when you have a lot of hair on your had, after 7 or 8 rounds you mus get a tremendous heat coming out of your head than when your hair is short or shaved.

    Im I right perhaps

depending on what sort of fighter you are is whether something crazy like your hair can affect you...
mainly the real tough bastards used to use dirty tactics involving facial or head hair..
duran was a real bastard for rubbing his beard against your head and cuts during clinches..
and marvin hagler used to shave his head about three days before a bout just so it had time to grow really sharp stubble then he would imflict damage on peoples faces and cuts in clinches...
    hah nasty stuff..

Would i be right in saying that if a corner puts vaseline or something on a fighter's bald head, punches would slide off and have less impact
