I've seen plenty of movies about fighting and whatnot, but I think The Karate Kid movies were the worst. The movies themselves were alright, but the fighting stunk. If they're going to make a movie about karate, they need some REAL martial artists.

Haha...Karate Kid is definately up there. But I honestly think that Rocky is even worse. At least everything in KK was relatively sound technically. Rocky wasnt boxing, it was brawling :P

On a seperate but related note, Mighty Ducks has THE worst hockey I've ever seen. And Goldberg, the goalie for the ALL AMERICA JUNIOR TEAM, absolutely sucks. He only saves a few shots in each movie. How the hell would he ever make that team? And why is half the team from some shitty little backwoods peewee league in Nowhere, Minnesota?
Boxing is like a handjob, and MMA is like a hot sweaty orgy with 5 chicks. I could never say no to a handjob, but which would you rather have?

Regardless of how many movies had lousy martial arts scenes, most of the martial arts movies in general are pretty bad.

Definitely Karate Kid - the black guy in Police Academy was more convincing than Ralph Macchio

Also, anything with Jean Claude van Damme - the king of replaying a strike 3 times in a row for all his crappy fight scenes. He made a career out of the fact that he could do the splits

Karate Kid was closer to real life then any of the other martial arts movies where a kid gets super human abilities to fight from training in months.

Karate kid was closer to something that could really happen, Daniel didn't become a master who could beat an army.

And the message in the movie I liked too.

I liked Karate kid one of the most.

You having a laugh? Crouching Tuger Hidden Dragon is an absolutely fucking amazing film. The choreography in the fight scenes is THE best ive ever seen in film. The story is cleverly thought out, it doesnt have some cheesy Hollywood ending.

The reason they can do all that flying stuff is because its supposed to be Chinese legend in which their legendary warriors could do that kind of thing.

Oh yeah being in Vietnam at the mo, they have an absolute ton of crappy imitations of crouching tiger on TV every day with the same flying thing.

Oh yeah gotta be Street Fighter for the worst film with martial arts, absolutely terribe.

That was more the Director's fault (remember Jon Woo and the slo-motion pigeons), than it was Van Damme's.

Oh, but he is in a new film in which he plays himself, stuck in a hostage situation. Its even called "JCVD"!

Cradle 2 the grave. Actually the stunts and choreography are just fine but, when Jet Li took on UFC fighters including Liddell, Tito, and Couture. That's bullsh*t!

Dolemite, alot of you Anglo guy's might not know this film, and believe me you don't want to know it, but Dolemite is about a black dude/gangster/pimp/player that has a black belt in Karate, horrible movie.

That was true, but the actual fight scenes still sucked. I still like the movies themselves though.
