Default British Heavyweight Title - Scott Gammer v Danny Williams SRBR

Good Evening Fight Fans (imagine i'm typing in the voice of Michael Buffer)

First off, the reason it is the SRBR, and not the DRBR is that I've dropped the booze in order to try and drop the beer gut, so it's a Sober Round-by-round, but that almost negates the possibility of me passing out on the keyboard....

Oops....anyhow, here are tonight's combatants clashing for the BBBofC Heavyweight title:

Champion, Scott Gammer 17-0-1 (9 KOs): Scott Gammer weighed in at a career high 17 stone (238 lbs) for this bout yesterday, obviously expecting to face a 20 stone plus Danny Williams, but will actually be holding an 8 pound advantage over the challenger. Williams will be the first world-recognised name that Gammer will have faced, having claimed the vacant British title by beating Mark Krence last June in a 9th round stoppage. His only fight since then was a 12 round points decision over former bare-knuckle fighter Micky Steeds where he displayed the stamina to keep punching throughout 12 rounds, although he did only trouble the Londoner a couple of times in the bout. Gammer's strength is a strong jab which he uses to set up the other shots, which he will use to try and keep Williams off while he throws the big shots from distance.

Willhill odds of victory: 6/5 decimal 2.20

Challenger: Danny Williams 36-6 (29 KOs): Williams is the more recognisable face in this bout, but at 33 is 3 years older than the champ. Surprisingly, Williams has weighed in 39 pounds lighter than his last appearance, and the question remains if this will open up his stamina and let him use his skills to the full, or whether he will have lost his power, and what stamina he had by losing the weight so quickly. Like no other fighter in British boxing at the moment, Williams is truly an enigma. Motivation seems to be a big issue for him, so losing the weight may be a good sign, but whether it is the fighter that put British boxing back on the map with a barrel full of guts against Vitali Klitschko, after beating Mike Tyson that turns up, or the man who suffered a humiliating defeat to Audley Harrison last time out, it certainly promises to be interesting.

Willhill odds of victory: 8/13 decimal 1.61

    Draw: 16/1 decimal 17.00

Start time is at 10pm UK time, 5pm Eastern US

as long as the boy get behinde scott i think he has got a cracking chance! the 1,300 should sound like 13,000 coz cwt herbat is freaking tiny! the only worrying thing now that could cost scott is he has come in so heavy expecting danny to, whilst danny has come in the shape of his life, fucking irony for you right there

Have just had a quick read of that article and you need to follow the link to the 101 knockouts site and register before the fight takes place, and it is only available outside of the UK i think. Hopefully they've got plenty of bandwidth and its a good stream for you, cause I'm looking forward to this fight.
