Which fight screamed knockout before it even materialized?
Which fight screamed knockout before it even materialized?
Even though I wasn't yet born, I'm pretty sure I would have known Frazier-Foreman wasn't going to go the distance.
nigel benn vs gerald is another good one but on list id go for jackson vs gerald
what about john mugabi vs gerald mc john mugabi had 38 wins 38 kos gerald had 22 wins 20 kos talk about a knockout fest
Mcclellan vs Jackson P4P IMO... thats the first fight that popped into my mind when I saw the thread title... there was no way either of those was going the distance
David Lemieux = Future MW Champ and P4P King
Yeah you got my vote thereOriginally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING
I voted Tyson vs. Ruddock. I'd seen a couple of Ruddock's previous scary KOs, and Mike wasn't exactly coming to box either. Matter of fact, Tyson later said he wanted to get to Ruddock early, before he could taste Ruddock's scary left hook. I also remember Tyson saying that "Razor Ruddock hits like a mule kick", a pretty good compliment from a scary KO puncher himself.
As a close second, I would've voted McClellan-Jackson.
P4P, Hagler-Hearns
Norris vs. Jackson
Jackson v G-man by a mile P4P. Both had ridiculous power and incredible technique. Benn v Barkley also deserves a very honourable mention. Maybe the best 1 rounder of all time?
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!

Benn - Barkley may not have been the best 1 rounder (See Mick's thread on Gomez vs Hill) but it was one of the most wild ones. I get the feeling Benn just didn't like Barkley
Also, Moore - Marciano. Except Moore's power didn't carry to well to heavyweight.
