Default Ricky Hatton & GoldenBoy Promotions???

I know Ricky is pretty chummy with Marco Antonio Barrera.. I cant really say Ricky's team has gotten him the best possible fights after Kosta, you guys reckon that Ricky hooking up with GBP is a real strong possibility I say why the hell not!!! They have quite a stable going and only getting bigger in the promoting world.

    What do you fellas think?

I think on the whole FA have done alright, Maussa, Colazo, Urango and now Castillo. I think any Hatton fan would have preferd him go with GB from the outset to be honest.

I think the decisions made, and Hatton's matchmaking post Tszyu have been crap. The Castillo fight just about makes up for it though.

To me the Maussa fight was a gimmie for Hatton, but one good fight (JLC) IMO does not make up for the other 2 bad ones...
Oh! yeah! and about GBP why not?
If the opp. presents itself he should go for it.......

that or he can wait to see if Don King is interested in him.....

He needs GBP they can get him all the big fights, who knows if he would have had them from the start after the Tszyu win, we could have seen hatton-mayweather or cotto

i still don't think maussa was a gimmi - harris was one of the biggestnames wt LW and wanted hatton, harris got beat by maussa so hatton beat him, can't really fault ricky for that

I do expect him to signf or GBP at some point, maybe after castillo. this is the second fght in a row he has gone to the ring with barrera, and with oscar saying he wold like to fight hatton next in the uk im sure he would wnat him as a GB fighter.

Do we really believe that under the wing of a different promotor he would have had better competition? I dont think so.

I hate to play the numbers game but Castillo is rated #2 by Ring magazine, at light welter can he find any better competition? If Witter impresses against Harris (Mayweather De La Hoya undercard I believe) Then he's right in the picture, but other than that its mediocrity all the way.

Well it couldn't of been worse, Memphis.

The Castillo fight is an excellent match....followed by Witter it's PERFECT

Had he been with Frank it would have been, you know how his ratio works It would have been Maussa, he made Ricky an offer on that, then a couple of French lightweights

I don't see Hatton joining GBP,not now. I think his match making has been ok,people criticise it but there has not been much better to choose from,I mean he's fighting the 2nd best in the division in JLC,what will be REALLY interesting is what will happen after that.

Where is Hatton going to go,all the big fights will be at 147,Corrales,may be Mayweather,Cotto etc. At 140,he'll have Witter but that won't help break the US market, which I'm guessing is his main goal.

True, the Maussa fight was a given, nothing wrong with that, anyone with half a brain cell would/could of made that fight

But FW's NONAMES wouldn't have nearly beat him.

The jump up and down was poorly timed (I understand the situation with Lazcano), and the Urango fight was a waste of time...it done more bad than good.. good obviously being the intention.

I'm just bitter that i have to pay £15 quid to watch him beat a nobody when I'll willingly pay double that to watch the total MESS of a fight that would be Hatton-Witter.

Hatton should have pushed for a fight with Cotto when he was at light welterweight.

Cotto was struggling to make the weight and it would have been a great fight fo Hatton win or lose.
