man i know how you guys feel, i was in shock. i couldn't believe the irony that just took place. mirko being ktfo by his signature finisher. that was insane and mirko looked dead and his legs twisted. damn i just hope he comes back strong.

fedor needs to come to the ufc now too and take care of business. he needs to revenge his buddy crocop. if crocop isn't going to himself.

I think that would be a big mistake. He's only 32 and still has alot left in his tank. Of course, the proper neurological tests have to be taken into consideration.
He was in line for a shot with Cotoure, and I'm sure this is just a gut-reaction coming off such a devastating setback.

I believe he would come back, this is not his first loss but I think being knocked out by your own move and to a lesser opponent(No More!) that would have taken a crack at his ego. He was very disappointed and rightfully so, I believe his plan was get this fight and capture UFC Heavyweight Title and challenge Fedor again. Fedor was very good but did not knock him out because Mirko knew the caliber of his opponent. Now it's not totally back to the drawing board I believe one more impressive fight and he's back in the hunt. Have a best of 3 with Fedor UFC - PrideFC - UFC/PrideFC

I don't think he is going to retire, but it wouldn't totally suprise me. He doesn't need fighting. He has openly said he plans on returning to the Croatian special police and possibly public office. Having Big Nog in UFC has to be a little disheartening as well. He has 4 fights left on his UFC contract and I don't know if he can get a title shot with three wins. After gonzaga and couture you have to figure that Vera(if his contract dispute is settled) should be next in line. Arlovski with another win and preferably a more entertaining one will be right in the mix. Mirko's best shot is to get a easy win over someone like Mir then beat Sylvia. If he did that it would probably put him right back at the top.
