Default OPEN SCORING, OPEN TO DEBATE?

A lot is being made about open scoring in boxing and I would like to know your opinion.

The arguments for usually range around the fact that boxing is one of the few sports where the public do not know the score at all times.

The arguments against usually center around the fact that not knowing the score adds to the drama and without the drama, a lot of boxing's attraction will be lost.

So I ask you...what's the score?

Open scoring is horrible. Can't think of any positive reasons for having it.
There would be no sense of desperation in latter rounds if a fighter is comfortably up on the cards.
We'll see a LOT of running from fighters who know they can coast to win. Nothing is certain right now without open scoring. Fighters need to go all out in the championship rounds not knowing how far or if they're even up on the cards.
We'll probably see a lot more skewed scoring too.
A judge who realizes their score is looking a lot different from one of his counterparts would naturally start "evening" out his score whether subconsciously or not. Judges are human. It can't NOT affect them.
Open scoring is a terrible idea.

I hope open scoring doesn't come into play. What's so wrong with the way we score fights now?

There is no debate here. Open scoring is ridculous and the sooner it goes away, the better.
