Default Hatton-Castillo undercard: Matthew Hatton vs. Ruben Galvan

Just thought I'd let you all know, Matthew Hatton (30-3-1, 12 KO's) defends his IBF Intercontinental Welterweight Title against Ruben Galvan (27-11-2, 10 KO's), who recently had a no contest with Zab Judah in what was supposed to be Judah's warm up for Cotto.

Should be a nice little test for Matthew.

Doubt it'll be much of a contest really, I know it was called a no contest but Zab was all over this guy in seconds last time out.

I think it's clever by his team though. A fight he'll win, but not against a nobody as Galvan has recent publicity due to the Zab no contest. It gives him a little bit of exposure and they can argue (although it's all technical bollocks) that he beat someone Zab couldn't. I'm hoping Matthew can get some decent exposure at domestic level. I'd like to see him fight Eamon Magee or Takaloo soon as I think these are fights that will further him or expose him.

I thought Mathew Hattons original opponant pulled out of the fight a week or so ago and he was fighting a replacement called Louis Brown (15-2 10 kos). Apparantly Brown fought in May this year for the first time since 2005 so I think Mathew should get an easy win.

No early on I was a bit concerned but he came through it. It was a bit role reversal with Ricky from January. Ricky had to gring out a victory then, while Matthew had a great night. This time it was the other way around. Glad he came through it though. A good domestic fight is in order me thinks.
