    If Hatton beat Mayweather using body shots, which is proably the only way he could win, then NO certainly not. Cotto would just do the same

    In my opinion NO! Mayweathers' next opponent should be the man he's been ducking for the last 3 or 4 years, "PACMAN, Manny".

    If Hatton beat Mayweather, then Mayweather would definitely not let him get away with it. I suspect that there would have been a rematch clause in every fight that he takes. No matter who Floyd beats his reputation won't be salvaged until he wins against the fighter who beats him. This also holds true with the other top boxers.

    So, my answer to the thread is a maybe. He would not fight Cotto after the loss to Hatton but may fight him along the way since he does not have anymore 0 loss record to protect which means he may be willing to get into risky fights.
