That what all his opponents say.

george foreman hardest puncher
Joe Louis hit a guy so hard his teeth went through his mouthpiece. The right hand of Rocky Marciano that finished the tough Rex Layne off sheered his teeth off at the gums. I think that says something about a guy's power.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
Jack Johnson was no slouch at punching either, he damn near killed Stan Ketchel.
Shavers is high up on the list if not at the top though....one of the better P4P punchers in the history of the sport
Hardest ever period. What is it with Youngstown Ohio men and there Freakish punching power. Shavers, Boom Boom Mancini Harry Arroyo, Jeff Lampkinand now Kelly Pavlik. This list of men are considered to be some of the hardest punchers in there class during there carrer. Not to many can remeber but Harry
Arroyo could really bang. Even with a 40-11 record he was one of the most televised boxers in his time. I wonder why.

Hiya all:
You all have forgotter, I think, of the fighter out of Raw way State Prison, James Scott I believe his name was. But that guy could hit !!!!! Never knew what became of him though. I think he was not allowed to fight for the championship, and that his fights were all exhibition....Some help on this one?
No. Ali said in his own words in 1985 thatnie Shavers was the hardest hitting man he ever faced.Originally Posted by ICE COLD BOXING

Shavers hit Ali clean on the chin Foreman didn't and plus he didn't land that many clean punches.Originally Posted by southakron314
Yes Ernie Shavers was hardest hitting heavyweight. Foreman could of been the hardest, but he couldn't punch the right way. Had no technique. That was probably a good thing. If Foreman would known how to punch he probably would of killed someone.
I agree with this Foremans punch technique wasn't correct bit like Razor Ruddocks he used to swing punches out of nowhere.Originally Posted by Violent Demise

Ali looked plenty worried against shavers in the last few rounds of their fight. It looked like ali was scared shitless.
Shavers was a phenomenal puncher. Amazing he now live sin Liverpool England and recently boxed a 4-round exhibition there.
Foreman v Shavers. Who wins?
I reckon Ernie. He was a one-punch KO freak and I think he'd get inside George's loing arms.
