Default Early Poll: David Diaz - Erik Morales...who wins...

I really have no idea how good Diaz really is. He was gifted the WBC belt and now he goes in with a legend who is stepping up in weight for what is likely going to be Morales' last fight.

I wanted to know how good you think he is, and if you think he can win this. (I know we're about a month and a half away)

I cannot even make a pick here. I want Erik to win but I dont know if he can. If he does win then he might continue and I dont want that either.

I just dont know with this fight.

I think your poll should just have 1 option.

    o Diaz

I really hope and wish Erik retires and soon.

I have no clue being that I've never seen Diaz fight. I'm a huge Morales fan and I'm hoping he can pull this out then hang em up.

Gotta love the poll, 100% in favour of Diaz!

Morales is done, and how good Diaz is is irrelevent.

What I love about this fight though is that right now Morales is a strong betting favourite so I'll jump on this one and lay £50 on Diaz to beat him I think.

You gotta love diehard fans who keep these prices good for those of us with a clear head.

Shot or not. Diaz can not, will not beat Morales. Morales by knock out. Hopefully he'll retire afterwards.

Morales has always been a better fighter than Gatti. I don't think Morales is as shot as Gatti was. At least I hope he's not

Obviously Morales WAS always far better than Gatti... But Im not sure he isn't almost just as shot now. I thought Gatti was going to KO Gomez as well. The thing is, Gatti showed more life against Baldomir than Morales did in the rubber match with Pac.. Sure they both got Ko'ed and looked finished in the end, but you have to assume Gatti would have always lost to Baldomir at welter, and at least he showed flashes of himself, boxing well and landing some big shots before being Koed late.. Morales appeared to have absolutely nothing on his punches and no legs. I hope it was in large part due to the weight, but even if it was, he can't just expect to be back in old form because he doesn't have to lose the weight now, the damage is done.. Just like it was with Castillo and Corrales, if you ask me..

Morales definitely can't make 130 lbs any more as we've seen. Trouble is his last move to 135 lb he got schooled by Zahir Raheem.

I'm going to rewatch Diaz's fight with Santa Cruz tomorrow as that's the only fight of his I've got but if he shows me a chin and an ability to fight hard and last then I say he beats Morales.

Through out the years I have been a big Morales fan. But I ask what the hell is he doing getting a title shot at lightweight. He's never fought at 135, much less won a fight there.

Morales in addition has lost three straight fights, KO'd in his last two fights and lost four of his last five.
