Default Harry Simon: How good was he?

Was looking through Winky's record and stumbled along this name and realized that he is undefeated. Stopped fighting because of an accident and then jail time.

How good was this guy and how would he have done against guys like Vargaz, Hopkins, DLH, Trinidad?

He just fought in march according to Boxrec. Won a decision in a 8 rounder, and is now fighting at supermiddleweight. He was light middle back when he fought Winky. That was a very controversial decision by the way. It was in Simon's hometurf of South Africa and he got a gift majority decision.

Very close fight like a couple of Winkys fights....

I scored it for Winky by 2 rds., but would have to revisit it to tell it again I haven't seen the fight in a long time.
What I have an issue with is the 117-113 score that's just wrong.

I may be wrong but I think the fishy part was the scores were originally read for a Winky win, then he was told in the locker room the scores were totalled or read wrong...or am I confusing the Castillo-Johnston fight?

Harry Simon was good...not sure about now...& the Winky fight was a travesty.

Wright won, IWO...but it was a hard fight.

It was ruled a draw & then it went to Simon.

    Total trash.

One fight that I can Wright actually REALLY lost was to Vasquez. He got dropped either 3 or 4 times. Wright says that he slipped but he got knocked offa his feet.

    He lost that fight.

I got the fight and it was very close, Wright could have left with the win very easily.

Winky won that fight, and is the better fighter.

The fact he had a close fight, win lose or draw against Winky means he must have been world class surely?

Yeah bro it was 5 times, but nothing solid. I had Wright winning a close fight but would of been happy with a draw.

Simon was on the verge of a Hopkins battle when he had that car accident in which he broke both legs & killed 2 tourists. He was a good fighter but the time away can't have done him any favours!
