    Default Heavyweight what if

What if Maskaev beats Peter (assuming they even fight at all)
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Maskeav takes an easy mandatory wins that and ten gets knocked out by one of the Klitschko's.

I give Maskaev a chance against Peter, the guys a solid boxer.
And while Peter will be throwing hard, I give Maskaev a chance.

From what I have seen, Maskeav has a very eastern-european style where he comes forward plodding, that will backfire against Peter. Peter has proven he can box and if he uses the jab effectively and the throws his bombs from behind it he will stop The Big O in 5 or 6.

Good observations, and i agree hell peter has done a lot more boxing and less slugging since his loss, i dont have a lot of confidence in maskeav facing any of the top guys in the HW division.

Maskeav will be brutally knocked out early if he is lucky, later if he resists. For him resistance is futile.

At least Oleg is a fighter and win or loose is good to watch , unlike John Ruiz

Very true .I didnt give much of a chance agianst Rahman the second or first time for that matter and look what happened .Peter is no Rahman though . I say Peter stops him then goes on to have two more great fights with Waldi.

Most likely Oleg will beat Peter and then he will try to unifiy with Wlad getting a high purse for his last fight.

I mourn for the heavyweight division, It hasn't been pinnacle of boxing in years.

If Maskaev wins it will be a huge upset I'm sure. He'd then be in line to fight Wlad. I think though with all Oleg did to try & get out of this fight he knows as well as most fans do that he's doomed!
