If you put Floyd on the scale today, I bet he'd weigh no more than 155lbs. The fight is the same at 147 as it is at 140.

That, and it wouldnt really matter.. Floyd doesn't rely on his power, if he was down to a healthy 140 without being weight drained then he may be even faster for Hatton. To be honest, i don't see it being that big of a difference in weight considering we're speaking of Floyd.
It matters more for a speed boxer going up and down because stamina is much more important for a boxer than a puncher because they have to use more foot work.
That's why i said a healthy 140.. if he did it gradually and properly, not the RJJ way. Floyd had plenty of stamina at lighter weights.

I would have loved Mayweather to drop down to 147 for the simple reason that 2 championships would have been on the line! But it would not have been a wise move coming back down that much!

Its all irrelevant anyway, Mayweather alledgedly weighed in at 150lb for his fight against DLH and will probably be between 145lb - 150lb come fight night against hatton.

On fight night against castillo hatton weighed 149lb (which is his lowest ever) and he said he had never felt better and faster. He wants to come in at that weight for all his fights now. He is training for this fight as if it will be at Light welter. IMO he will weigh in about 142lb and be around 149 -150lb come fight time.

Not at all.....In all fact this fight is all ego for Floyd he does not need Hatton to solidify himself....

Hatton has been at WW before....He has been a Champion at 147 before...He gets up to 170-180 on his own admission in between fights at times

No IMO 147 is a fair weight for both to meet
