It was good round but nowhere near the best Bert Cooper vs Michael Moorer and Hearns vs Hagler are way better.
Well, note that I said the best 1 round fight in history (meaning a fight that does not last past the 1st round), not the best opening round in history. Most fights that end in the 1st are one-sided demolitions like Hagler against Caveman Lee or Tua versus Ruiz. Mancini-Frias began with Frias badly hurting Boom Boom, then Boom Boom turning it around to force the stoppage at the end of the round.
Oh ok my mistake if thats the case then Benn vs Barkley gets my vote
I'd like to include Gomez vs. Hill as one of the if not the best 1rd. fight ever and also one of the most beautiful KO's you will see.

How about Danny Williams? Dislocated shoulder, just waiting to get knocked out and....BAM! He knocks the guy out with his left

    Hagler v Hearns
    Benn v McClellan
    Honeyghan v Curry
    Calzaghe v Lacy
    Tyson v Berbick
