Gopd effort but maybe it should be top 30 Welters u have heard of. Napoles, Armstrong maybe Griffith, etc should be in an all time list like has already been pointed out.Originally Posted by Mr140
With the exception of SRR they're all post 1978. Is this because you don't know anyone from before that (nothing wrong with that) or because you don't rate them?
Benetiz & Duran are both great fighters but their Welter records are not Top Ten worthy.
I'm going to throw a few names for you to look up.
Joe Walcott
Jack Britton
Ted "Kid" Lewis
Mickey Walker
Jimmy McLarnin
Barney Ross
HENRY ARMSTRONG
Emile Griffith
Jose Napoles
Simon Brown
I'm not saying that all of these are better than all of yours but you need to learn more about the history of the sport before you post such threads.

1 Armstrong
2 SRR
3 Leonard
4 Whitaker

6 Tito
7 Napoles
8 Griffith
9 Oscar
10 Ross
CC for the list and i will read up on some of the guys and if you can get me some videos i like that to so i can see them
Maybe i should of said the best guys from the 1970's and up because besides SRR i have not seen many fights on video on alot of the fighters before the 60's and 70's so i have a hard time ranking them if i never saw them and yea i can read about them but not the same as seeing them
Good list but Griffith is too high imo.Originally Posted by CutMeMick
