Default Amir Khan - Graham Earl 8th December !

Looks like this fight is going to be happening. Its a real good step up for Khan and i do believe he can take Earl. It should be a real entertaining fight like against Willie Limond.

    Khan stoppage is my view.

Khan will box circles round Earl. Earl is tough. He proved this against Yuri Romanov and Katsidis although he lost the latter when well behind. I also reckon Vanzie beat him.

Decent name for Khan. Earl then Thaxton then Romanov for me. Maybe decent level European before Romanov.

I see Con destroying Earl. Earl's a modest to light puncher who pretty much shot. The beating he took in his last fight was pretty brutal. Sure he scored a knock down (credit to him) but all that did was give him 3 more rounds of punishment. I don't see Earl as really a big step up for Con.

I'd say this is a big step up. This fight is to Khan what the first Danny Williams fight was to Audley in my opinon. He's the number 2 lightweight behind Thaxton just like Williams was number 2 behind Skelton.

Audley never managed to get his career past this point and it took him about 5 years to get there!

If Khan wins this he already eclipses Audley's achievements before he's even turned 21 so I'd say this is a crunch fight for Khan in terms of assessing any future potential.

I'm actually suprised they are moving him this quickly, Earl is a pretty good fighter on his day.

It will be intriguing to see how Khan's performance compares with Katsidis.

    Great fight, can't wait.

This is a good fight for Khan. It's winnable and against a 'name' fighter too...

The worrying thing is that Khan is fighting another guy with a sub 0.50 KO record. His last seven opponents had scored only 24 KO's in 127 wins. That's pretty low for a supposed future world champ.

Khan will take him IMO..Too much speed and power just like Katsidis had. He is going to have to step up to fighters with more power soon though..the problem isn't going to go away if you run away from it..If he doesn't end up in there with someone a bit more powerful soon I fear the Limond knockdown might play on his mind when he finally does. Hopefully it hasn't knocked his confidence too much.

After saturdays display Khan will take him but He'll know he's been in a fight and may have to get off his ass a few times to beat him.
He don't wanna go toe to toe with Earl for too long either,he needs to box his head off instead.
Great matchup and i think Khan wins by stoppage inside 6.

Earl may not be some devastating puncher but he hits plenty hard enough that if he connects Khan's kipping.

    Good fight.
