    Default Saying/expressions you hate

    I hate:

    1) Have a good one. (Have a good WHAT, fuckhead? Can't you say day?!)

    2) The best offense is a good defense. (Wrong. If all you ever did was play defense you'd never score any fucking goals/points. Offence is offence and defence is defence. They're different. Deal with it.)

    Great thread Von.

I hate when snobby people say "Cor" instead of "Car."

The best offense is a good defense?

    Isn't that meant to be

The best defense is a good offence?

when something tragic happens and a sports announcer says something like well that really puts things into perspective. Its just sports, we know its not life or death.

I also don't like it when people call me boss, or chief, that seems to have died down lately though.

A couple British ones I don't quite get and/or annoy me.

Someone once told me on here that I was having a giraffe. True story.

Also got this Fox soccer channel and been watching the premiership and for some reason I can't explain it annoys me when the British commentators will say "that should be just food and drink for him" when they're talking about a save a goalie should make or something. That should be food and drink? Really?

    "within a cunt's hair"

My uncle always says this and it is disgusting to hear.

Jameel McCline came "within a cunt's hair" of knocking out Sam Peter.

The profs at my school seem to like telling us that we're learning "critical thinking"; like I'm too fucking stupid to do that with out being taught how by some asshole in a plaid jacket with elbow patches.

I hate it when people say 'age' on the end of perfectly acceptable words to make them sound cooler....

    like 'signage' for example.

Like the one on the side of the building i work in that reads...

    'please adhere to site signage'

instead of 'please read the signs'

And i hate them fuckwits who refer to you as boss or chief when in fact you don't even know them. 'Mate' is acceptable and 'pal' is ok.

Chief and Boss isn't! It's fucking annoying and patronising.

So fuck off with your 'what can i do for you chief?'

    set of cunts
