It's only ok Lefty, In boxing only my last 10 fights have been against good comp you know, the first ten really don't count.

As for Kick and Muay thai, their only to keep sharp for boxing and I'm not that serious into them.

so are we saying that a pair of 14oz cleto reyes gloves are a good pair of gloves to buy for training, they cost a bundle and i'd hope for them to last a good period of time

Those ones got the laces and the hook and loop!!!

All I could see in Sugar Rays are the lace up or the hook and loop, unless the hook and loop have laces included, I wanna grab me a pair soon, In the green.

I was looking at them on the net too - still deciding - walk me into a fashion shoe store I'm all over about 5 pairs in 5 minutes but boxing gloves deserve a little more consideration procrastination I think!

Just wondering about the laces - are they a pain in the arse to do up without someone helping you? I'm still not sure if I wanna use them for sparring but am seriously considering replacing my dieing bag gloves with them since I want some that will last a little longer than others I owned so far.

I generally keep mine tied all the time with the laces just loose enough so that I can push my hand into the glove.

Now if your trainer is a peach, or if you want to have some fun with the guys at your gym you just ask, "Could you lace me up."

    Well It's glove buying day
The plus to taday is that I know I'll be getting nice shiny new gloves, The negative is once I order them I'll spend the following weeks grumpily awaiting their arrival!!!

Cleto Reyes are what I'm going for, I'm ordering from Sugar Ray's so I'll go for the lace up, In 14's I think.
Gettin um in the nice green colur and also ordering my friend a pair of the white Ergo's in 12's.

    Question

Does anyone know the difference between the Cleto reyes Official Pro Fight Gloves and the Cleto Reyes AIBA approved Amateur Fight ones? Is it just the white circles or are they actually softer for your opponents?

I'm looking at this page (Australian distributer) and I've noticed that they have three options listed - traditional, attached thumb and attached thumb with hook & loop closure. I have absolutely NO IDEA of the pros and cons of those three options so would be grateful for some info on which is the best and why please

Hope this is readable - I feel all naked without the spelling checker!

If you intend on fighting in real bouts..(don't know if you currently do or not)...I would not use them for training...Reyes have their own fit and as others said they are made for afflicting damage...you get used to them when you have to use other gloves like Everlast lets say...the gloves just don't seem to feel right.....

My suggestion is use another brand for training
