    Default Ono's Training Trial

I'm studying to become a personal trainer at the moment and developing training programmes is part of the course. With that in mind, i designed a training programme which i began 4 weeks ago.

The programme incorporates both Weight-lifting and Cardio. The cardio side of the programme is based on fitness for Boxing. So the overall aim of the programme was to see how possible it is to simultaneously build muscle while shredding bodyfat, and if this is successful, at what rate will i gain muscle and lose bodyfat.

So now i am 4 weeks into the programme and i have to say i am delighted with the progress i'm making.

I've gained half inch on my arms while dropping bodyfat by 4%. Strength has gone up which is something that is rare when on a calorie surplus (i've dropped calories by about 300 per day).
I can honestly say i've never been so motivated about training in my entire life. I've lifted on and off for about 3 years. My starting weight 3 years ago was roughly 120lbs. My weight now is 165lbs with 10% bodyfat which is decent-ish for my height (5'7)

So what i want from you guys is some volunteers to try out the programme and keep a daily log for 1 month to test the effectiveness of the programme. Posting measurements to gauge progress would be helpful, as would descriptions of moods, motivation etc... for the period of one month.

    Anybody interested?

The training split is a 6 day routine with 3 days for lifting and 3 days for cardio.

Shit loads of 's coming your way if you take part. Yes that's a bribe!

I'll post the workout and eating plan a little bit later once i have received feedback from you guys.

Finally to further tempt you, i can honestly say this workout has been one of the most successful i have tried in terms of results, so if your bored by your own routine or if you feel you need some direction to kick start you on your way to completing your goals, just give me a shout and give this a try!

I'll wait for a couple more before posting the programme.

    Cheers Donny.

Yep I'll take part as I need to get in shape for the start of the new Tennis season in a few months (Which my team will get promoted this year ) and I've especially been trying to change my diet so that programme would be great

Yup I sure do, I plan to go to the regular gym three nights and the boxing gym 3/4 nights, is that compliant with your idea?

    Cool good stuff

Donny, feel free to make any changes to the nutritional plan if they will interfere with your fighting weight.

I'll post the programme later on.

    Cheers guys

No no man it's cool, I actually had anticipated to go up in weight during my lay off because I want to rebuild my rotator cuff, so I have a 5 kilo float.

just to let you both know i've been sulking because the new forum is so unfamiliar

i haven't forgotten about this thread though.

only problem is, i'm moving back to my mum and dads next week, consequently i'm selling my gym stuff.

it would still be a big help if you two decided to go through with the programme and kept a progress log.....albeit without me training aswell

let me know if your both still interested

i have to go and train at a normal gym now with big sweaty fat people
