    Default Tattoo.

I know that a few of you guys have got tat's and that even more of you guys are into them...
But I've been thinking of getting one for a while now.

My mate who's into mma, is getting the "Gamebred" tat on his leg.
For the past ten years I've been boxing and it's moulded my life, I want to get something that reflects the effort and pain I've felt as a result.
Since I was a kid I was infatuated with the Greek Spartans and I tried to train like them; to be a warrior.
But then 300 came along and gayed it up on me.
so the word I really felt represented me is gone!

After that I thought of a few others....
I thought about simply "Dempsey" or a Henry Armstrong tribute.

    Any ideas?

    Donny,
As advice I wouldn't put any actual names and stuff like that.
I know boxings your thing and all but just be REALLY sure that you wanna use someones name.

How about a glove with a message inside of it. Maybe some words of encouragement. Something your fathers told you or advice that you were given that has stuck on your mind? Even a boxing quote you like.....

    Thanks Mick,

I realise the consideration it takes.
While I was in the gym when I was younger I used to try "train like a spartan" as my trainer used to say and I had hoped to get it tatooed inside my lip.
My mate says "Gamebred" would be perfect for me, but I'm not convinced....
    I'll take my time anyhow.

You know I often slag my mate about tat's because he's into mma and it seems obligatory in that line of business to have one.

But I wanna get one you can't see and that means something to me and it will be completely invisible to others.

I have toyed with the idea of getting a pair of boxing gloves with laces maybe lower back. Still I considered another version of a boxing tat a few years ago and I'm so GLAD I didn't get it because what seemed cool to me at the time just seems so stupid I'm REALLY glad I didn't get it. I can't even tell anyone what my idea was - lets just say it was really bad! I'm petrified that if I get a tat I'll end up regretting it within a few years.

A guy in my gym has MEATHEAD tattooed across the front of his neck - high so it's almost uncoverable and in large font. That's a nickname that soem guys he worked with gave him. It sort of suits his personality but I think he's smarter than he likes to let on and I'm not sure the tattoo encourages anyone who doesn't know him to see that side of him.

I don't have any family crest or anything cool like that unlike Pride of Boston so it's hard to think of and design something that's not going to look trashy at some stage.

Hey I know exactly what you mean, to get it and regret it would be terrible.

But like I said, I'll be considering it until I think of something right.
I think the message of "Gamebred" is cool, but it's been made commercial and I refuse to put a brand on me.

I have a family crest, but I'm not sure I want it printed on me.
And the problem with boxing gloves is that colour fades

I was thinking of my daughters name, but I really gotta decide on a name first!

I hate the "Fighting Irish" tat, I hate it. Man it's pathetic, particularly as 90% of guys that get it can't fight for beans and haven't ever been in a fight

Remember the color will fade nomatter what... You can touch it up. Also remember that the new inks they come out with every year fade less and less. I got mine 10 years ago and it still looks like I got it last month... It's blue white and black!

I like strong colours like that, but it would be a nightmare with clothes!
