Default Should the HAYEMAKER take WARRENS £600k deal to fight Skelton..?

Frank Warren has offered David Haye a whopping £600k to fight MATT SKELTON who is independantly ranked higher than RAHMAN and who took Chagaev the distance............
Would be a big UK dust up if it happened and we know David never swerves a challenge
Clever move by Warren imo but will Haye go down that road and take the challenge?

It good be quite an interesting one, I don't rate either of them to be honest. Skelton is 18 stone, Haye's last fight was at 14 stone 4, so big size difference. I'd lean towards Haye, whether or not it will enhance his career to take this fight I don't know.

It's as good an entrance to the division as Rahman is at the moment. It seems like decent money and Skelton isn't dangerous but he could make it an ugly fight.

Same as i see it mate
Would a win over Skelton launch him further in the Heavyweight division than a win over Rahman..?
Skelton is active and has just challenged for the WBA strap but Rahman will always be a name purely because he scalped Lennox!!
Don't think the US audience would give a flying one if he beat Skelton and would probably tar him with the Audley brush if i'm honest.
I'd go to the US and start making some noise over their if i was him but that is a huge sum of money on offer.

Either way HAYE moving up to the Heavies is so exciting for me and he'll single handedly bring some charisma and excitement to what has been a dog shit division since Lennox retired.
    Can't wait

I see your point about making it in the states, but if he's half as good as he thinks he is Skelton should be a doddle and there's nothing stopping Haye from keeping busy and fighting every couple of months until he gets his shot, taking out many of the lower raranked fighters along the way while getting used to the bigger guys.

Thats something i just dont see happening.

Haye loves the celebrity life a lot more than he does the boxers life.

He enjoys film premieres, drinking champagne with various random women, driving ferrari`s etc.

If haye was deadly serious about being heavyweight champion of the world he`d fight someone stateside for probably half the 600k he`ll make fighting skelton and work his way through the ranks there with 3-4 fights a year until he is line for a world title shot.

His power alone makes haye as entertaining a fighter as anyone in the HW division - but with greatness comes hard work and unless david is prepared to run the miles im afraid he could just be another audley harrison flash in the pan!!

It was reported Haye made more than £600,000 for the Enzo fight.

All Skelton has ever done is be in BORING shit fights.

I doubt he's an appealing enough starter - especially for the American side... plus what would Warrens role be considering they've just announced Hayemaker Productions in conjunction with Golden Boy?

I agree with Fenster and i think beating someone Golota would be a good start, Golota has a big name in the Heavyweight division, he is ranked quite highly. And its very winnable fight for Haye because Haye has power and starts fast which has always been disaster for Golota.

"lennox lewis has been offered 50million quid to fight mike tyson and he said he`s gonna think about it............for 50million quid id let mike tyson f**k me up the arse infront of my mam and dad"
