    Default Tonights Fights...grab a chair:Picks,RBRs & chatter

Well It's close to double feature time so I thought I would put up a gathering spot for Quick picks and Chatter.......Missed out on lastnights FNF's here so we have time to make up for It.

We should get back on track with a fight picks...The other threads have seemed to dry up.

Picks....Not alot of time to dress things up,just want to get it going. Will come back in a bit with add-ons.These cards will overlap so I'm going to attempt a RBR on one or two with all the channel flipping.Feel free to Jump in and mix it up as viewing.SHOWTIME up first:

Vernon Forrest 40-2 (29) VS. Sergio Mora 20-0-1 (5) Lt.Middle.....Im picking Forrest via TKO 10th.Finally Mora gets his huge big name fight...whoops.
Carlos Quintana 25-1 (19) VS. Paul Willaims 33-1 (24) Im picking Quintana via W.S 12....For a fight that was dictated and controlled by One fighter,Rematch can still be interesting .So much can be said here

HBO begins at 9:00 pm my time,

Kelly Pavlik 32-0 (29) TKO Gary Lockett 30-1 (21) Im picking Pavlik via TKO...honestly do not know to much about Lockett? But I do think Pavliks Leaky defense will catch up.......some day?

Juan Manuel Lopez 21-0 (19) W.12 Daniel Ponce Deleon 34-1 (30) Im picking Lopez via W.12 Or even a late TKO...IMO this is must see viewing. This will be a pure acid test for Lopez and he will have to endure & rise to a new level should he hope to topple solid Deleon.I just find Deleon very catchable ....Lopez should be VERY wise and do not get lured into toe to toe when he gets tagged,Boxing with disaplined power in spots will be key for him Imo. This could be a coin toss up really.Nice match up

Ive never been one to get too carried away with shiny records but one thing that catches me ...All combined these gentlemen collectivly bring in a 235-6-1 win/loss record with 176 KO's.......good stuff!!....Cheers enjoy the fistticuffs

    agree with those outcomes.
but i got Forrest UD over Mora
Quintana UD over Williams (possibly a KO)
I dont think anyone gives Lockett a chance in hell.
    Juanma KO over PDL
and this last fight will be the best fight of the night.

thanks for trying the RBR i will definitely appreciate it as where im stationed at in Korea they are not televising any boxing whats so ever.

I have to go with my friend Sergio by Decision.

    Pavlik by KO.

    Quintana by Decision.

De Leon vs Lopez is my toughest pick, and I'm still not sure how it's going to go.

    I'll have to go for

    Forrest by UD
Pavlik by KO (good luck to Gary though )
    Quintana by UD also.

Not sure about the other fight to be honest.

Won't be able to keep with round by round on here because I don't have a laptop

    But enjoy the fights guys!

I'm rooting for Sergio against Forrest but seeing both Manfredo and Gomez have their asses handed to them when they stepped up doesn't inspire confidence.

Still he's always been exciting to watch for me and maybe, just maybe Forrest gets old overnight and the snake can slither his way to a points win.

The Williams Quintana fight, I'll go with Williams by KO. I think Quintana can certainly win again but I want Williams to win in emphatic style just to keep some life in the post Mayweather division.

Pavlik against Lockett won't get to the halfway stage imo, Lockett is going to get cut up, knocked down and saved by the referee.

De Leon I couldn't care less. Don't recall seeing his opponent although I may well have. I expect De Leon will maul, hold, low blow, rabbit punch and head butt his way to a boring win however.

I got Mora by decision in an upset
Interesting how a lot of people here have Quintana to win, considering Williams is the favorite with all the bookmakers. I´ve got Quintana too by knockout
Pavlik will win in a quick wipeout
Besides those, I got Parra to beat Caballero down in Venezuela

that's what I was really hoping for.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Deanrw again.

    Not a problem. That'll be a $29.95 finders fee.

I'm also selling DVD rewinders if you are interested for the same low price!!

OK I have to slow down. I'm getting too buzzed off this beer.

The more I think on Lopez Vs. DeLeon it could be quick either way.As rugged and seemingly enviting to punches that DeLeon has looked Imo,This is a huge step up for green Lopez.Lopez has the look of a future high calibur top fighter, decent power and fluid hands but he better buckle up tonight. This could be brutal ending.......I can also, as Bilbo Mentioned see an ugly mugging afair.Lets hope not!
