I'm assuming you think Cortez stopped the fight early? I thought it was actually not that bad of a stoppage. We've seen much worse from him.

Cruz actually landed a body shot, Villa was on his way to take a knee, then Cruz landed an uppercut that made Villa stand back up! That was a pretty sweet move in my opinion that gave him another opportunity to land the next body shot that put him down.

Interesting how Cortez is finally getting all this criticism.

He should've been getting it years ago with his wretched jobs in Hopkins-Allen 3, Quartey-Bojorquez, and P. Williams-Pakau.

I hope he retires. He was a solid ref years ago, but just that. Years ago.
