I was thinking about investing in some reyes gloves. They would be either training or bag gloves. (10 oz) Does anyone know if this is worth it? Has anyone used either? thanks

What will you mainly be doing with them? ie. bag work, sparring?
I'd probably go for slightly heavier... I have the 16oz training gloves, and as far as Cleto's go, they are top quality.. They feel great on your hands and will last you forever... At that level, you are getting a great glove and well worth the investment... Grant are also nice ones at that level, and Winning are a little bit more pricey but are again great loves.
A lot of people on here have Cleto's though and love them.
Why I suggest getting a heavier glove like 16oz, ESPECIALLY if you spar alot, is that the cleto's put a lot of weight around your wrist and not as much padding on the front of the glove.... I feel sorry for the people I spar with as it is because i've got the Cleto's and they've got these big pillowy gloves, and I know mine hurt them more than their gloves hurt me..
Also training with a slightly heavier glove will help your hands a bit on the bag, and they'll help your arm endurance as training with a heavier glove makes you tired faster..
Overall, for around the price of the Cleto's, you'll get a good glove regardless of brand... So it's personal choice.. If you had a chance to try them side by side with other gloves, you could really pick your favourite by feel. But I know not many people get that chance, so if you just needed a bit more of an endorsement before ordering these gloves, then you've got it!
You could also do a search of the training section for Cleto's, and you'll probably find a lot of threads about them, and maybe even some comparisons with other gloves...
I forgot to mention I have the training gloves, and they are good for everything including heavy bag work... I'm not 100% sure how good the bag gloves will be for other purposes like sparring though, so if you need an all round glove, the training one is probably your best bet..
Thanks a lot. These gloves would be used for bag/mitt work, no sparring.
In my opinion, they are the most endurant, comfortable glove available.
Although they are not kind to sparring partners

I would certainly go more than 10oz though. IMO, everything should be 16oz but the actual fight glove. I have a pair of 12oz bag gloves and wish I had stayed with 16s.
I really dont like Reyes for training, theyre rough on the knuckles,if Ive got a big puncher, and I can talk the promoter in to it,I love Reyes
thanks fo the posts guys. I will most likely get the 10 oz bag gloves because I like small gloves better because i believe it helps with accuracy and because im small. These would obviously not be used for sparring. In the pic on ringside the gfist part looks big and the cuff looks small. I have seen these in person and they looked normal but i just want to make sure they are proportional.
what the others have said. They feel nice and solid round the fist and the weight feels round the wrist. If you like to punch and have suspect wrists you have to wrap you hands well as they're not so padded on the glove. Of course if you like to punch they're very good I like them. Solid gloves.
i just did a little research and cleto bag gloves only come in 10s. odd. too light imo.
I dont want to buy the sparring/training gloves because they are 25 dollars more, they have a long cuff, and are heavier. I like using smaller gloves and i think the sparring gloves wud be too big.
Just for reference I was wearing Top Ten sparring gloves last night and hurt both thumbs and removed the finger nail from my thumb parrying.
