    Default Memorable Moments

What moments in boxing that you witnessed live (on TV or in-person) will you remember DECADES from now and still talk about in the future? Or moments in boxing that shocked you while you were watching?

For me (off the top of my head):

-Holyfield knocking Tyson out was something I didn't realize how big it actually was until I REALLY became a boxing fan and remembered me actually seeing that fight.

-Pacquiao dominating Barrera in their first fight. I remember cheering for Manny while actually not believing he was going to win. Proved me wrong.

-Hatton bumping his head on the ringpost. I was actually pulling for Hatton against Mayweather but you couldn't help but laugh.

-Tarver's second round KO of Jones. I think it was somewhat of a lucky punch but I never thought Jones would get caught with one of those. Then Roy's next fight he gets knocked out cold by Johnson. I was sitting there thinking, "WOW! The end of an era..."

    Lately...

The site of a bloody Cotto on the ground kneeling...

Partly because I just never thought I would see Cotto like that, and Partly because at that point I just realised how much of a destroyer Margarito is.

Douglas Tyson will allways rank high
Im in a bar in NYC called Mona's
Im not even really watching, because Douglas was a last minute patsie and everybody knew it.
And suddenly the entire joint started getting very loud,I turn around to look at the TV just in time to see it happen.

    Absolute
Tyson had become more myth then person at that point, and everybody who followed the sport, knew Douglas was a last minute replacement. It was only supposed to be a tune up bout.
Apparently nobody told Buster that night.
You really found yourself saying,"Did that just happen, or did they spike my beer"

    One that hasnt been mentioned
    Hopkins Trinidad
Bernards mamma wouldnt have bet on him to win that fight he was such an underdog for some reason going in.
Just watching him think about what he had just done after he won,was awesome, you could see it in his eyes, that even he was shocked

Yes, that one works for me too. A very Interesting fight, it wasn't the most action packed, but it was filled with tension, for me anyways. I kept waiting for the moment when Trinidad would start unloading his bombs, but it never happened. Completely and totally outfoxed by the "bad guy" Hopkins.
