I watched three films over the weekend just gone.

A New Daughter, pretty shitty horror with Kevin Costner, was watchable at least

Soloman Kane, again a pretty shitty but watchable action romp.

Book of Eli, good film, really enjoyed it, pick of the three by far. Denzel still has it.
glad u found the thread bro, i wanna see book of eli, but can t find a good copy to download, the sounds always crap

watched kick ass now that was a good film! crazy as hell, little disturbing watchin a 11 yr old getting punched by a bloke plus shot plus her using the c word but apart from that i loved it

also watched edge of darkness, not bad but as a revenge movie i prefered law abiding citizen

    Amores perros (2000)

It's good but long, and loses momentum somewhere in the middle.

I just watched Open Range, which was a decent movie until about 3/4ths of the way threw. It had a shit ending and a terrible, forced love story.

Also saw Tombstone (great film, Val Kilmer is awesome in it) and Flags of Our Fathers (which I thought was an outstanding film and not your typical, jingoistic bullshit WW2 movie).

Saw The Changeling today. Excellent, if a sometimes disturbing movie.

Classic film-making. The contrast between the beginning and the end of the film is amazing, and the pace in which it builds up suspense is brilliant. The last 20 minutes are a bit of a headfuck mind.

I watched The Hangover for the first time yesterday and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The naked Chinese man really scared the shit out of me though, I saw all this pubic hair and was thinking why doesn't he have a willy? I'd watch the film again, but that scene was warped. Well, now I think about it a lot of the scenes were pretty warped but they didn't make me think "Bloody hell, what on earth is this?" in quite the same way.

    Good flick all in all.

In the West weren't alot of love stories "forced"?

    Great film!
Did you see the uncut version?
I have that here, you get a lot of extra torture towards the end, haha. That was one of the first films to really chill me!

I watched Up this morning and I thought it was fantastic. Touching, funny and really quite odd. Thoroughly recommended.
