So jot down your thoughts, or leave the thread alone, I dont want your rep or anyone elses. I'm simply making a fun thread, and like I said I know it hasnt been the first one about this thats been made, did you neg rep them also for not noting your amazing boxing knowledge? Your gonna cry for not being recognized on an online blog...pathetic.
The key is Self-discipline.
This post of mine is not exactly carefully thought out, but here goes...
I can really speak for who is most knowledgeable, obviously there are a few people who are very knowledgable in their own way. The following people get props from me. If I've left you out, it means nada.
CMM, for knowing his stuff, for making his posts interesting, for imparting his enthusiasm whether the topic is boxing, sex, or whatever.
ICB, for being objective in threads that are wide open to subjectivity
Diane, for sense of humor, the good ones are always taken, dammit.
Bilbo, for keeping me interested, for the occasional wickedly funny quip, and doing a decent job of supporting his opinions, wacky though they sometimes may be.
Top Thread. Too many to mention.
Honorable Mention: To Saddo , for keeping this place going, providing us with lots of entertainment free of charge.
There are lots more posters that have gone unmentioned. All the best for 2009.
Hi OnixAA.
It's an interesting thread idea mate. For me the poster who stands out as winner of most of the important categories is myself.
I'm not saying this to be boastful, I'm just trying to view the forum from outside myself and imagine I am just a regular poster reading all the comments.
In such circumstances I think my posts would stand out to me above all the others, for both their comedic value, their originality, but also more than that, their profoundness.
I have touched on many important and sensitive issues and have enlightened many on here in subjects as varied as creationism, fantasy fiction, human values and anal hygiene.
I formed my own clan, of which many are still members to this day.
So I think you agree that in the following categories I am a clear winner.
Funniest Poster
Most Intelligent Poster
Most Original Thinker
Most Desirable
Man Most Members Would Like To Meet.
Thanks for taking the time out to agree with me on this.
What I like about Ask The Trainer,is theres allways something to learn, even if what you learn is"There's no way Im teaching somebody that" Boxing is a constant state of trying to learn the newest training techniques, and even if you dont want them in your gym, learning how to deal with it. Anybody who sits on their hands,is going to find the world passing them by. Not only can I pass on stuff Ive picked up in 30+ years of martial combat,I can pick up new ideas.
Never pass up a good idea even if the person is less experienced then you
Alot of guys do,when somebody mentions what they think would work as a good training technique,I just go quiet for a second and then say,"You know, thats a good idea"
Hidden Content IN CASE THEY ALL FORGOT WHAT REAL HEAVYWEIGHT POWER WAS!!!
Why not mate, it's a good crowd in there and everybody has learned something along the way worth sharing
