If Calzaghe decides to have another fight I'd like it to be either Dawson or a rematch with Hopkins! I'm good with either.

Both guys pose different threats & what a way for Calzaghe to end his career by fighting the best available, not a washed up Jones! IMO that fight was pointless!!!

Joes seen it all before and id also bet that Kessler is a bigger puncher than Dawson, hes certainly a bigger puncher at super middle than Dawson is at light heavy and Joe took his shots fine.

Even if that is true, which I don't think it is, Dawson has far better handspeed and better variety of punches. He hits hard enough to hurt Adamek, who is a pretty tough customer, and Dawson is certain to be able to hit Calzaghe much more often and more cleanly than Kessler because of speed and combination punching.

I'm sure at some point you've actually made a valid point about a Calzaghe matchup. Not this time.

As of Joe would have the stones to take this fight. I would favor Dawson. Calzaghe has never faced anybody with the talent, skill, and size of Dawson. I can see Dawson putting Joe down several times in the fight.

Dawson put on the earmuffs to rope a dope Tarver. Unlike Calzaghe, Tarver is actually a dangerous puncher and Chad needed to be sure he didn't get caught with Tarver's good shot.

Joe's workrate would keep the fight close, but Dawson would hit Joe with many, many meaningful punches. Whereas Hopkins was throwing one at a time, Dawson would be returning fire with HARD combinations. Calzaghe nearly lost to 'Nard with Hopkins throwing one punch at a time. With Dawson answering with fast, hard, accurate combos, Joe would be in trouble.

It would be a close fight very risky for Calzaghe it would be good for his legacy if he won a young fighter that is in his prime.IMO Joe would just edge it.His awkardness would be key and he can change strategy in mid round thats why i give him a slight edge.

I think Joe C. would edge it as well. Chad Dawson had trouble with Glen johnson, another awkward fighter, who is not as gifted as Joe C. I think it would be competitive, but another UD for Joe to slap on his belt.

I actually think Glen is much underrated; maybe he’s not as gifted as Joe but he definitively hits harder than him. I remember Chad won clearly the early rounds but after that he was slowed down not just by the pressure that Glen putted on him but by his powerful punches too IMO.

If Chad has the chance to beat Joe,he'll have to figt really smart and use different tactics through each round if he stands any chance of beating Joe.We all know Calzaghe has'nt got the K.O punch anymore,but by god he has speed,a never ending engine,tonnes of desire,a great great chin and a brilliant boxing brain to match!!It would be great if this fight could get made.Calzaghe would be my bet,apart from the lack of K.O punch power the guy has the full package to be unstoppable!!

Johnson is a quality fighter, he's only been blown out once and that was against a prime B-Hop.

I'm not saying he isn't but he isn't in the same league as Calzaghe.
