I say not quite the warrior becuase he's been made to go backwards in 3 of his last 5 fights. Cut or no cut.

Its not a knock on Cotto and its not ment to be disrespectfull in any way.
I acknowledge that he definitely sets out to be both a crowd pleaser and a fighters fighter but for me the word 'Dwindle' definitely springs to mind.

As with Hatton, who i wouldn't call tough or a warrior (just a fighter trying to portray himself as one for clear effect), it's always alarming to see the 'tough guy' forced into retreat and proves that their NOT as tough as originally believed.

Cotto seems more happy to retreat, slip and slide than hang tough these days.
Its a big statement that depends greatly on his next few fights but i belive i've seen this patern a couple of times before to know what's really goin on.

Cotto is good but Mosley is better. Yeah I know Mosley lost but IMO he fought the wrong fight; He was suprised by Cotto's boxing ability.

Cotto was on the back foot by the end of the fight. Forget he's excuses for why. The real reasons became apparent in the Margarito and Clottey fights.

Cotto isn't quite the warrior he'd have us all believe.

    Mosley would K.O cotto in a Re-match.

Also, for the sake of this argument, id LOVE to see how Cotto handled a PRIME Dela Hoya at 147
yea cause only a pussy would fight on for 9 rnds with a gash like this one

    or this one

Re-read the context JimBoogie put it in. He at no point suggested he was a pussy, just that he's not a warrior in the JCC mold. I may not agree with him, but that's no reason to overreact & exaggerate his point

Margarito and Clottey are huge guys for fighting in the welterweight division.

Anyone can get caught with a good shot and get taken out. It doesn't make them less of a fighter.

Mosley could get knocked out the same as Cotto in a re-match. Mosley was slowing in that fight with Margarito take another look. I'd give Cotto the upper hand from the middle rounds if they ever faced off again.

Only problem is mosley's never been stopped before and always finishes strong in his big fights...and now with the extra motivation and nazeem in his corner i think cotto goes to sleep.
