anyone care to tell me in what part of any of these fights hopkins was perceived to be boring yet was the guy on the offensive on every occasion
one dangerous horrible bloke
I think the criticism for Bhop in this thread is ridiculous... I mean it just depends on exactly whast one likes watching.. The fact is that Bernard is 44, it stands to reason that fighting elite fighters much younger thasn him he SHOULD lose.... Facts are that every subtle thing he does is completely masterful, he negates lacking athletecism with a complete mastery of how to move, when to punch, how to feint, etc. This sport is by no means all about who puts forth the most forward motion in attacking an opponent. You've got to realize that every time Hopkins fights recently, he's in against a guy who can pull the trigger as fast and harder than he can. Therefore every single move he makes in the ring is monumental to his coming out of there unscathed. I feel therefore that people who call him boring simply don't appreciate the way he uses the ring, his footwork and timing, etc. It's really quite simple. How can one be a boring fighter if nooone can really lay hands on him? Is it no exciting to watch a complete mastery of the sport? I don't get it.
