Even though I have the fights on dvd, I'll still be watching.
Good for HBO to show these again.

Cool; thx. for the heads-up. I am going to record them
Yes thankyou. Shit they should play all of his HBO fight's but I guess that would just be greedy.
That would be great; might even bring some more fans in Sadly enough people will have heard about this murder{casual or non-fight fans}and might tune in to see what he was like in the ring instead of watcing Weeds and Hung Of course those types might just try to link domestic violence and boxing together so maybe it wouldn't be good Either way I know I wish they would show all of his best fights.
I'll just get my Trilogy out and pretend I have HBO
Like Rafael, I also immediately wondered what HBO would do. I think it would be more cool if they could get some guys in there to comment and make a documentary like style film about the trilogy like Showtime did with the Rafa-Izzy trilogy documentary. But maybe down the road there will be something like that, I really liked that.
Thats great ill be tunning in!
They did a mini documentary about their first fight right before the second one. They interviewed the two fighters and some others about the experience. They even showed fight footage in black and white because they said it was a "throwback fight." I think I have it on VHS somewhere in my house...
Does anybody else got this on right now? It's only the 7th round of the first fight, and I'm sitting here tearing up the whole time.
I don't know how I'm going to make it through this fight, and the other two. I'll probably be a wreck when it's all done.
Watching this, makes me so pissed off that Gatti's career ending fight, came as a loss to frickin Alfonso Gomez.

sat down and watched the 1st fight again and actually welled up a bit at the end.
The story of gatti visiting ward in hospital and congratulating him is stuff of legends.
hope to god HBO managed to get an interview with irish micky

Damn, watching that brutal 9th round, where Gatti went down with the body shot, and found a way to survive that round, and then come back the way he did in the 10th, is breath taking.
During those 2 rounds, tears are flowing big time, and my heart was pounding from the beauty of it all.
First thing I watched when I heard of this tragedy last week. There are so many more great Gatti moments though that you could dedicate a full week to the man. Even in heavy defeat such as against PBF his fights were entertaining and boxing could only benefit from having a guy like Gatti representing it.
